COMPUBUILD RESIDENTIAL CONSTRUCTION SOFTWARE OVERVIEW


California-based Compubuild Technologies Inc., provider of commercial and residential construction software, got its start after a painting contractor wanted a better way to track billing. Compubuild's flagship product, SubMaster, combines the functions of job costing, bidding, construction project management, HR and accounting.

SubMaster Lite is a job cost tracking application for general contractors, prime and subcontractors in the home improvement and remodeling industries. This program tracks records and details required for salary and piecework processing, clients and projects, and change orders. In addition, its QuickViews feature allows users to view detailed financial information and has a toolset useful for invoices and payments.

Meanwhile, SubMaster Platinum is a cost control feature designed for specialty contractors in commercial construction. In addition to providing the job costing, construction project management, human resources and QuickView features present in the Lite version, SubMaster Platinum offers management tools for inventory, vendors and purchasing. Certified payroll and union reports are also available.

Compubuild has also designed TractMaster a residential construction software tool for specialty contractors. TractMaster comes with all the cost tracking features of SubMaster Platinum; it also provides tools for template management and option management. With these functions, clients can build templates with material and labor tasks, and track and store project options.

SubMaster Lite version supports up to five users. SubMaster Platinum and TractMaster support an unlimited number of users.
