Procore Software Review: Stellar Energy
User Review

Review Summary
Construction project management requires a lot of organization, and coming up with your own system can be time consuming and risky; that’s why there is software like Procore, which Stellar Energy Solutions has recently put to use on and off its construction sites.
Patti Gutlebin at Stellar Energy said the company has been using Procore to manage its large commercial solar facility installations, such as the recent installation of four megawatts of solar facilities at four Northern California wineries. This Web-based project management software gives Stellar Energy a single place to manage projects, she said.
“Use of Procore allowed our staff and subcontractors, as well as our clients, to follow the progress of the job with ease,” she said. “[Procore] tracks everything from email communications to project documents, photos, transmittals, change orders, meetings, schedules, daily weather at the site and lots more,” she said.
Overall, Procore’s features are very valuable and easy to use, Gutlebin said. Users only need basic computer skills such as emailing and uploading documents. When problems do arise, support services are always prompt, though there is no user documentation, she said.
Gutlebin rated Procore software a 9 out of 10 and recommended it to anyone in construction project management. She also had one suggestion for Procure: “One [thing] I would definitely add would be a communications tab on the company dashboard. There are times when you want to communicate to your entire staff, regardless of the project on which they are working.”

About two years.
Our company does large commercial solar facility installations.
Through a Procore Technologies sales representative.
We pay $195 per month per construction site.
The Procore web-based application is used for construction project management. It tracks everything from email communications to project documents, photos, transmittals, change orders, meetings, construction schedules, daily weather at the site and lots more!
Wee selected Procore because of its ease of use, and more importantly because it is Web-based. That is a definite plus when you have staff in the field managing projects at different locations
Yes.
No.
More than 10 people at Stellar Energy are using Procore.
Procore provides a single place for the management of a construction project, with regards to tracking communications, documents, photos, change orders, etc.
Our company recently completed installation of almost 4 MW of solar facilities at four wineries in northern California. Use of Procore allowed our staff and subcontractors, as well as our clients, to follow the progress of the job with ease.
Unfortunately, I am not the person who can calculate our savings.
Every feature or tab in Procore is extremely valuable. In addition, we have found Procore to be very open to suggestions for improvements and additions.
Yes.
One thing I would definitely add would be a Communications tab on the company dashboard. There are times when you want to communication to your entire staff, regardless of the project on which they are working.
We use them all.
I would recommend Procore to any company or individual involved in construction project management.
In using Procore, an individual needs to be familiar with basic Internet skills, (using email, uploading documents, etc.).
With fairly basic computer and Internet skills, learning to use Procore was easy.
Over the course of our initial use, I contacted Procore support several times. Support was always available within a very short timeframe (usually just a few minutes), and the support staff was extremely knowledgeable and helpful.
Other than the training videos available through the program itself, we have received no documentation. For me personally, I have not been able to run the videos on my computer.
I would give Procore a good solid 9 and comment that it's on its way to a 10 with the continued improvements that are occurring.
