Review Summary
"We have found that Procore has given us the ability to pull all our information into one spot with the ability to access it with ease. With real-time comunication with the job site and clients, we can get answers and share information easliy. We have loved working with the staff at Procore for questions on the individual tabs," said Scott Wheeler of JLS Construction. (Each tab displays a different set of information or helps a user complete a certain task.)
"Procore have listened to our comments, and to input from our clients, on how we would like to see things work. We honestly don't know how we have survived without it."
Full Review
About two years.
We are a remodeling company that specilzes in large custom jobs and the occasional custom new home.
Through a Procore Technologies sales representative.
We pay Procore on a montly basis. What we pay is based on the size of the construction project we are using the software for.
We use Procore software for our daily operations and for communicating to our clients for specification approvals, change orders, communications, and photos -- even if they are out of town.
We needed to streamline all the processes and information that these large jobs generate.
Yes.
No.
About four people are using Procore.
It has made it easier to track information and have a construction schedule that is at everyone's fingertips. We love the reminder feature in most of the tabs; this helps when you have 1,000 things on your plate. Another thing that has changed a lot is communication. We now have daily logs being completed and the ability for our supers to retreve a specification from the document tab to review with a sub or owner onsite.
The Laird Project is a good example. The owner is always out of town, but has still been able to approve change orders, approve specs and see weekly progress through the photos.
I would say that the biggest thing we have noticed is that the change orders are getting done proprely and approved in a timely manner, so we are making more money in this area, as well as spending less time looking for information in a barrage of emails.
We love the home page, as you can see everything at a glance. I use this to see tasks that are overdue (so I can adjust the construction schedule), and I can see the RFIs and punchlists (which we use daily). My supers and project managers can see the day at a glance, too. We use the other tabs as well; some come into play more at diffrent times through the job. I like the access to documentation, too; it lets me know who is working on what and when, so I can check up on my staff and subcontractors.
Yes. I like the monthly rate, which is based on a small or large job. We were hesitant to purchase the product when Procore wanted $4,000 to buy as well as a monthly fee, so this new pricing makes sense to us.
We have voiced a few concerns about new features that Procore has said it is working on, but Procore has adressed a lot of our concerns already. The only thing I don't care for is activating a person with a company, as I feel you have to do it three or four times -- you have to go in and set it up at the personal level, then again at the company level, and then once in the job you have to tweak things again. I would like to see this streamlined.
We use almost all of the features of Procore software at this point. I have not trained myself to use a few of the new features, but I plan to this year.
I could see this being used in fields other than ours by anyone who wants to streamline a project.
You need a little knowledge of basic computer skills, such as how to attach or upload files. Project is probably the most daunting if you have never used a construction scheduling program before, as there is a bit of a learning curve here.
No, not a lot. Most everyone had the basics in one week of using the program several times a day.
Yes, and the support staff is very nice to work with and gets right back to you if you have a problem. This is one of the things that impresses me the most about the Procore Technologies support staff.
9.5. Nothing is ever perfect.
