Primavera P5 Software Review: Ntnada
User Review

Review Summary
The price was certainly right for Ntnada Management Consultants, which received Primavera P5 at no cost from its clients to enhance and support Ntnada's construction project management consulting services. But Primavera P5's features and capabilities have become an invaluable part of the firm's approach to managing its group of multiple, diverse projects, said Mohamed Abdel-Mageed, co-owner of Calgary, Alberta-based Ntnada.
"The enterprise tool gives me a powerful way to look at the whole organization's portfolio of projects. This ability to view multiple projects was not there before P5," he said. "We could not have properly managed a mega-project and all its complexities without the P5 tool."
In an earlier version, Primavera removed some graphics capabilities, a decision the vendor reversed with the release of P5, said Abdel-Mageed. However, Primavera P5 would be improved with the addition of even more graphics components, he said.
Abdel-Mageed rated Primavera P5 construction project management software a 9 out of 10.
Full Review
We have been using Primavera P5 for the last three years.
Ntnada Management Consultants works on oil and gas projects.
I received it from my clients -- Colt, Lockerbie & Hole and Suncor Energy.
Nothing, since it was provided by my client.
I use it on a day-to-day basis for construction project management.
It provides an enterprise tool for managing a portfolio of projects. It was also my clients' preference.
We had Primavera P3 in house but, at the first release, Primavera P3.5 lacked a lot of the graphics features we wanted. However, in version P5, the software recovered most of those capabilities.
The enterprise tool gives me a powerful way to look at the whole organization's portfolio of projects. This ability to view multiple projects was not there before P5.
We could not have properly managed a mega-project and all its complexities without the P5 tool.
We have saved a lot of time, which translated into hours of savings and, hence, money saved.
Using Primavera P5, we save a lot of hours and get the job done fast. We also can manage multiple projects at one time.
Yes.
I would like to see even more graphics features for reporting purposes.
No. I use them all.
This is great for all construction project management offices.
Users do need proper training on the software before they begin.
I, on the other hand, had no formal training. On-the-job development was enough for me.
Yes, and the experience was good since the customer support staff are well-qualified people.
The tutorials and the Help section really assisted me.
Yes.
