CPR COST ESTIMATING SOFTWARE OVERVIEW

CPR (Construction Productivity Research) International Inc. provides project management and cost estimating software for home building, home remodeling, insurance repair, construction loans and home equity financing firms. The Jacksonville, Florida-based company was founded in 1986 by a civil engineer.

CPR specializes in Microsoft Excel-based cost estimating software. The following nine solutions are compatible with Windows Vista and Office 2007.

	GeneralCOST Estimator for Excel is designed for general contractors and includes a built-in cost database in CSI format, the vendor said.
	RemodelCOST Estimator for Excel features a takeoff calculator, a remodel database comprised of current remodel costs and customizable cost tables.
	ConcreteCOST Estimator for Excel offers a concrete calculator used to perform volume measurements, the vendor said.
	PaintCOST Estimator for Excel includes a space calculator and formatted reports that include an estimate summary, estimate details, estimate labor hours and bid quotations.
	RepairCOST Estimator for Excel is designed for repair and restoration contractors and insurance adjusters; it contains a repair cost database that links to current unit prices, the vendor said.
	HomeCOST Estimator for Excel meets the needs of residential contractors, home builders and insurance adjusters; it uses a step-by-step wizard interface to calculate prices, the vendor said.
	JobCOST Estimator for Excel uses algorithms to monitor job costs; it is made for contractors, remodelers and project managers.
	RoofCOST Estimator for Excel offers a roof cost database in CSI format.
	FloorCOST Estimator for Excel is used to create estimates for flooring.

CPR's Excel-based solutions are available individually or in four software suites.

	ContractorPACK Advantage for Excel contains GeneralCOST and JobCOST .
	RemodelPACK Advantage for Excel contains RemodelCOST and JobCOST.
	BuilderPACK Advantage for Excel contains HomeCOST Estimator, GeneralCOST and JobCOST.
	ConstructionWORKS Complete for Excel contains GeneralCOST, RemodelCOST, PaintCOST, RoofCOST, HomeCOST and JobCOST.

CPR offers two standalone cost estimating packages.

	Visual Estimator offers a Windows-based interface and includes a cost database, work assemblies, crew setups and a takeoff calculator and more. This system can also be integrated with digitizer software such as QuickMeasure, the vendor said.
	Plan Takeoff, meanwhile, performs takeoffs and other measurements and contains features such as registers, referencing fields and on-screen and printed reporting, according to the vendor.

Finally, CPR's product line includes five construction project management software tools.

	Project Management Software includes project timelines, cost tracking and reporting features.
	The Excel-based Project Planning and Management monitors budget and performance with earned value analysis calculators.
	ScheduleEZ Pro helps streamline the process of construction scheduling and can be synchronized with QuickBooks software, the vendor said.
	Project Budget Manager lets engineers tracks labor costs, invoices, purchases orders and personnel.
	Finally, Easy Project Plan uses an Excel interfaces to manage and distribute tasks so that each member can enter tasks, dates and status, the vendor said.
