BID2WIN CONSTRUCTION ESTIMATING SOFTWARE OVERVIEW


Bid2Win Software Inc. was founded in 1994 and develops bidding and construction estimating software for heavy/highway, utility and infrastructure jobs. As a Microsoft Certified Partner, Bid2Win has focused on creating cost estimating software that is compatible with Windows products and Microsoft technology such as the .NET Framework and the SQL Server database engine. This relationship is evident in the company's flagship product, Bid2Win Estimating and Bidding.

Bid2Win Estimating and Bidding is supported by a SQL Server database, providing multiple users with simultaneous access to data, the vendor said. At the same time, the software's construction estimates are constantly updated through its XML Web services, which receive information from other integrated systems.

Within Bid2Win Estimating and Bidding, the Estimate Detail tab lets users create and/or view any level of detail for a construction estimate, according to the vendor. Meanwhile, the Management Reporting function automatically emails reports to team members; it also facilitates bid analysis by accessing past bid data and by running queries on past bids, Bid2Win said.

Bid2Win Estimating and Bidding has two versions -- the Professional Edition and the Enterprise Edition. The Enterprise edition offers all the functions of the Professional Edition, plus a shared license pool, multiple database support and advanced construction estimate security, according to the vendor. Bid2Win Professional starts at $6,500, and Bid2Win Enterprise starts at $8,000.

In addition to its flagship construction estimating product, Bid2Win has created Build2Win Field Tracking Software, which is used to track production quantities, labor hours, equipment hours and more.
