VirtualBoss allows its users to complete the following construction scheduling tasks:

• send standardized work orders to everyone involved with a project,
• track all job-site activities,
• sort and filter job site details and view them either on a screen or a printout,
• print or export addresses and phone numbers to their Palm Pilot or Pocket PC from a built-in address book,
• manage tasks through a module devoted to adding new jobs and updating to-do lists,
• tracks workers' compensation and insurance expiration dates, and
• view job tasks in a graphical representation using the Gantt chart option.

A second tool, Remote VirtualBoss, enables users to access their VirtualBoss schedule, task lists and job contacts via the Internet. Furthermore, Remote VirtualBoss lets up to 100 users access the same information from each individual location at the same time, the vendor said.

VirtualBoss is tightly integrated with QuickBooks software and runs on Windows 95 and above, including Windows Vista. It can be used with any Pocket PC or Palm device, the vendor said. Remote VirtualBoss runs on Windows XP/ 2000/ 2003.
