There are five versions of ConstructionSuite software -- Standard, Pro, Premier, Corporate and Network.

ConstructionSuite Standard 2007 is ideal for small builders and remodelers or new businesses, the vendor said. Features of ConstructionSuite Standard include construction estimating, more than 130 contracts and forms, residential specifications, the UDA Items Database and ConstructionNet Lite.

With the UDA Items Database, users receive instant access to the information they need with preloaded materials from the Craftsman Database. The database also enables users to create their own construction costbooks, add quotes and modify existing information, said the vendor.

ConstructionNet Lite, meanwhile, is a CRM system that enables users to integrate contact and project information with all of their estimates, contracts, specifications, quotes and takeoff/dimension sets.

ConstructionSuite Pro 2007 is designed for residential contractors and remodelers. This construction project management software includes the same features as ConstructionSuite Standard and adds QuickBooks integration, a construction calendar, resource allocation, MS Project Export and UDA ConstructionNet CRM, a dual contact and project database that merges every aspect of the ConstructionSuite system.

ConstructionSuite Premier 2007 includes the same features as ConstructionSuite Pro with the addition of change order management, insurance tracking, CAD integration, application for payment, cash flow reporting, workflow management and lead management.

ConstructionSuite's CAD integration allows users to reduce the time spent on take-offs, reduce errors that occur from double-entry tasks and quickly develop project estimates. As a result, according to the vendor, contractors can spend less time in the office and more where they are needed the most -- the job site.

ConstructionSuite Corporate 2007 was designed specifically for property developers and professional contractors. Corporate contains all the same features as ConstructionSuite Premier with the addition of aggregate reporting and property development content, which helps users manage multiple construction projects. The aggregate reporting feature allows users to compile project management information from across their company. The property development content is designed specifically for property developers and professional contractors and includes residential and commercial contracts, developer application forms and conditions and restrictions for neighborhood and community development.

The biggest version of ConstructionSuite, ConstructionSuite Network 2007, is a multi-user construction project management software tool designed for expanding firms. This version contains the same features as ConstructionSuite Corporate; in addition, the vendor said, this version makes it easy for teams to collaborate with a universal set of construction management tools and a centralized, master database system.

UDA offers a free ConstructionSuite trial.
