The Projectmates suite, which includes more than 40 modules for the design, construction and retail industries, is designed to simplify project management by tracking tasks, handling changes and reporting changes. Through a Web browser, project teams can share drawings, documents, meeting minutes, discussions, budgets and invoices, among other items. Users can manage subcontractors and bids using an electronic bid-distribution portal; meanwhile, a construction workflow tool allows authorized individuals to manage daily construction activities such as RFIs, submittals, daily field reports and site photos, Systemates said. (Authorization is defined by role-based security, the vendor added.)

• the ability to link multiple sub-contract items to one budget line-item
• an updated Work Order module, which lets contractors request and approve proposals and create subcontract change order;
• a Vendors Summary for Subcontractors module, which provides a list of vendors and a round-up of their contracts, COs, POs and invoices;
• the ability for accounting departments to create pay periods while they are adding invoices, as well as the ability to keep pay periods separate from Prime Contract's pay periods, and
• the ability for financial departments to create a final invoice, which prompts Projectmates to automatically calculate the remaining balance and release any retainage.
