SiteStream's home building software is designed to help residential property developers maximize profitability -- from the first land appraisal, through production control, to the completion of sales -- with an integrated sales and customer relationship management (CRM) system.
SiteStream's system has five modules -- land, build, sales, care and scheduler. This home building software can be used with, and linked to, numerous job cost accounting software systems; while it has been designed as a fully integrated system, it can also be implemented incrementally, the vendor said. SiteStream uses Microsoft's COM (Component Object Model) technology to support its components. The software runs on Windows and SQL Server.

SiteStream Land is a budgeting, monitoring and construction project management tool. Land can be set up to provide either detailed information on the financial and physical statistics of your future development or a summary of the information to be readily available for board and funding approval. Additionally, this information is continuously updated at every stage of construction, said the vendor. By using this home building software, users receive sophisticated financial models of their proposed developments, which they can then use to observe all possible scenarios and make decisions to changes in plans or new opportunities, the vendor said. Land can be used on its own or with SiteStream Build to provide budget details derived from individually acquired items.
SiteStream Build was created to help home builders manage the more complex aspects of a development project, such as budgeting, takeoffs and cost forecasting. This module's option of adding detail when available and at the level required for purchase orders lets users easily create high-level budgets, the vendor said. In addition, Build offers a payment authorization system that controls payment to subcontractors and provides "cost to complete" projections.
SiteStream Sales is a CRM system that tracks leads and provides tools for marketing analysis and sales forecasting. Sales offers automated management reports to monitor day-to-day progress; additionally, the entire system can be linked to a company website to provide an integrated home building marketing solution, said the vendor. The Sales module also helps SiteStream customers use their websites as a marketing tool by uploading the most recently published information.
SiteStream Care was designed to aid users in responding to customers' questions and concerns after the sale. This home building software logs customer problems until they are resolved and keeps a full record of customer history for users to look back on whenever needed. Furthermore, Care lets users define task prioritization; this, the vendor said, ensures that maintenance teams and subcontractors meet target response rates.
The SiteStream Scheduler module is a home builder specific template built on a Microsoft-style interface. Scheduler allows users to view multiple bids on the same screen by using bar charts that show build stages for each unit on the same row. Meanwhile, Scheduler's Siteprogress module enables site managers to record project progress online or via a Pocket PC. Activities are presented in the order that the site manager walks the job site; this reduces update and input errors, the vendor said.
