Founded in 1985, Palisade Corp. provides decision and risk analysis software to more than 150,000 users in more than 100 countries. After the success of its first product, Palisade developed several other risk analysis and decision support software solutions -- PrecisionTree, TopRank, StatTools, NeuralTools and Evolver -- which along with @RISK are bundled in the DecisionTools Suite. The latest version of all the products is v5.0.

 

Features of DecisionTools include tight integration with Microsoft Excel, parallel processing, bundle pricing and distribution viewing and fitting, the vendor said. Palisade's risk analysis software can be used in a variety of industries -- finance and securities; insurance and reinsurance; oil, gas, and energy; Six Sigma and quality analysis; pharmaceuticals; medical and healthcare; environment; government and defense; aerospace and transportation, and manufacturing.

PrecisionTree

PrecisionTree improves decision analysis through the use of influence diagrams and decision trees, which allow users to visually map out multi-layered decisions in sequential order. When combined with @RISK, PrecisionTree's decision analysis is enhanced with @RISK's ability to represent continuous ranges of outcomes for chance events and payoffs, the vendor said.
