The programs let clients manage costs on an individual project while simultaneously increasing visibility and decision-making across their organization, thus creating best practices and repeatable processes while eliminating redundancy, the vendor said.

CostMANAGER provides budget, forecast, commitment and expenditure control across an enterprise. According to Kildrummy, it can be used in any organization with a multi-million dollar project budget by all project team members required to manage, analyze or report on project cost-performance. The product is scalable from one project to an entire enterprise, and can manage multiple currencies, the vendor said. Accessible over a wide-area network or the Internet, CostMANAGER was designed to be easy to set up, with users able to configure the system to suit their own requirements.
JobPROMS provides budget, forecast, commitment and expenditure control for single projects. By continuously monitoring project costs and noting any budget deviations, JobPROMS helps clients make informed decisions and predictions of project cost performance, the vendor said. The application integrates common accounting software applications and features flexible project structures and user-defined reporting for budget, forecasting, commitment and expenditure control, the vendor said.
For its part, MicroDOC is a menu-driven application that records project documents and track their movements and responsibilities, both within a project team and with outside suppliers and subcontractors. This software reduces costs errors, the vendor said, since it identifies documents that are being held up or are nearing a bottleneck.
The final member of Kildrummy's project cost management software family is WinCERTS, a desktop system designed to record, monitor and report on inspection and certification tests. Designed primarily to meet the needs of large, complex projects, it can be network- or PC-based. WinCERTS delivers an auditable progress trail, ranging from management-level summaries to the status of individual pieces of equipment. This multi-reporting capability can locate problematic areas, making it easier for construction firms to meet deadlines, the vendor said.
