Spectrum Construction Software contains 30 integrated modules specifically geared towards the needs of different construction markets. Key modules within Spectrum include the following:
The Project Management module monitors many aspects of a project by tracking RFIs, submittals, change requests, change orders and all items necessary to fulfill a contract. Each aspect of a project can then be tracked by date and by detail, and prioritized by critical information, according to the vendor.
The Job Cost module of this construction management software is designed to monitor profitability and prevent overspending. Integration with other Spectrum modules automatically updates information, improving the accuracy of labor costs, the vendor said. Meanwhile, features like the Project Cost Entry screen facilitate construction estimating by providing fields for dollars, dollars per hour, quantity, dollars per unit and so on.
Spectrum's Document Imaging module allows items to be scanned, indexed and attached to important documents such as invoices. Images and documents may be viewed on the screen and searched with Spectrum Full-Text Indexing, using Optimal Character Recognition, the vendor said. This tool also contains a "Build CD" feature that transfers documents to disc.
The Spectrum Service Contracts module controls contract management by monitoring billing, construction scheduling, warranties and more. Control is also obtained through profitability reports and inquiry screens that display revenue and cost, the vendor said. This application also features a Service Contract Installation Screen and Service Contract Work Processing on which tasks and work order notes may be managed.
Finally, Spectrum's Esti-Link module transfers construction estimates to Spectrum's Job Cost program, therefore integrating Spectrum's accounting system with spreadsheet applications such as Microsoft Excel, Lotus 1-2-3 and Quattro Pro. With this application, users can use information for future estimates by creating Historical Costs ASCII files, the vendor said.
