CENTRIC CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE OVERVIEW
Centric Software Inc. developed four software solutions for management of large-scale construction projects, capital programs and facilities maintenance projects. The San Jose, California-based vendor created applications to serve automotive, aerospace and consumer goods companies, as well as construction firms.
Although each application is based on its specific vertical market, all Centric software applications leverage Project Intelligence, used for its online project management software and interactive decision centers. Whatever their market, corporate executives can use Project Intelligence to better understand schedules, budgets, issues and activities, according to Centric. In addition, project management teams have secure, Web-based access to project documents, costs, schedules and activities, as well as automated project documentation. Finally, project search software finds all project data for resolution of issues and repetition of best practices, the vendor said.
The company offers four tools for facility and construction project management.
Centric Project Collaboration features a secure online collaboration environment for managing documents, schedules, costs and activities. This construction project management application searches and incorporates drawings and additional information from other applications, such as computer-aided design (CAD) software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) and document management systems. Since the solution is Web based, it connects to multiple systems and shared drivesfir improved collaboration around the globe.
For its part, Centric Decision Center delivers a composite and comprehensive view of all global projects and capital programs, the vendor said. In an online, interactive dashboard, executives can see high-level summaries as well as item detail across all projects.
Centric Program Office provides a composite of all multi-team program key performance indicators (KPIs) and activity status to deliver daily insight used for strategic decisions and activity coordination. This particular construction project management software blends live product and business information from within the system and all source systems, such as CAD, ERP and engineering systems.
Finally, Centric InSight searches and discovers project content across structured, unstructured, managed and unmanaged data. For facility and construction project management, Centric InSight finds all instances of key project information, such as latest drawings, cost information, contracts, or best processes across multiple systems.
