Dynamic Systems updates job costing software, releases new tool manager software

Dynamic Systems Inc., a barcode data collection software developer, has released two products that aim to help construction project managers collect data in the field.

First, the company has added Time Clock, a time and attendance tracking software tool, to its CheckMate Job Costing software. Using a wireless barcode reader or other device, an employee scans his or her badge at the beginning and end of a shift. That information is then transmitted to the job costing software database back at the office, where the information can be printed or, in turn, sent to the payroll department.

In addition, Dynamic Systems Inc. has released a new Basic Tool Manager software product. This product, too, relies on barcode data collection to keep track of tools and other equipment. Using a wireless barcode reader, users scan a badge -- which can represent people, departments or work stations -- and then a piece of equipment; the tool manager software can then track who has the tool.

Along with its barcode data collection software -- which is used for stock room, seafood manufacturing and child care equipment inventory as well as construction -- Dynamic Solutions Inc. sells printers, scanners and wireless hardware as well as data collection middleware.
