Computer Methods International Corp. (CMiC) recently released new software for general contractors. It’s called CMiC Emerging and it features software as a service made with rising companies in mind.

The program is divided into three sections, each designed for a company’s needs at different phases of growth. As contractors move from section to section, more applications become available.

The first section, Getting Started, is designed for small contractors and includes four applications: Financials and Projects, Human Capital, Project Management and Docflow. Among their features are a general ledger, subcontractor management, benefit administration, bid and procurement management and AP invoices.

The second level is called On the Grow. In addition to the applications found in Getting Started, On the Grow has a CRM application that helps manage potential projects.

The final section is called Emerging and features the same applications as Getting Started and On the Grow. However, there is no Docflow. Instead, there two applications called Collaboration, and Imaging and Workflow. Collaboration can help with all things communication, such as managing project contacts or performing ad hoc information requests. Some of the features of Imaging and Workflow are the ability to save images in a user defined image library system and communicate with stakeholders through a messaging system.

The implementation differs depending on which section of CMiC Emerging is being used, but each includes standards such as data collection and setup, user training and assistance to get the software up and running.

Contractors can learn more and request a live demo at the CMiC Emerging website.
